The new WD hard drive comes with WiFi and 3TB, ideal to have Plex portable wireless

Plex has become one of the preferred platforms to mount our multimedia library, its power and scope allows us to have a complete server that can be accessed from a lot of platforms easily, either from a hard drive or the same computer.

Today Western Digital is releasing the new generation of hard disk Passport Wireless Pro, which comes loaded with new features to have a wireless hard drive, portable thanks to its integrated battery, but also is compatible with Plex Server, so now our multimedia server can travel with us without relying on an internet connection.

WD Passport Wireless Pro with Plex

The new WD Passport Wireless Pro is a hard drive that comes in capacities of 2 and 3 TB, but the most important point is its WiFi dual – band 802.11ac connection with which we can either connect to the internet to have our Plex available server from multiple devices, or create your own private network to connect directly either through our computer, smartphone, tablet, digital camera, or any device with WiFi connection.

Another attractive aspect is that thanks to the WiFi connection can store and access content wirelessly, something ideal for people who need to save files immediately, but in turn transport and share all that contended in an efficient manner.
