CES has passed 2017 and something else, but laptops of all shapes and colors we have seen, because Fujitsu has decided to spend the days to introduce all their new family of laptops, the LIFEBOOK. Among them there is a lot of thinness, highlighting a concrete model that has no rival in the market.

We talk about the Fujitsu LIFEBOOK UH 75 / B1, a 13.3-inch screen computer that weighs only 777 grams, that’s really little in a world where the thinning of the equipment is already quite achieved. The battery of this computer is 25Wh, which provides for 8.3 hours of battery life.

The Japanese also propose a version of the same equipment with more battery and a weight of 913 grams, a figure also impressive if we consider that in this we have 50Wh of capacity. This model responds to Fujitsu name LIFEBOOK UH 90 / B1.

Another important difference is the capacity of internal memory: the lighter model has 128GB in SSD format, while the “heavy” rises to 256GB. The thickness of the equipment in both cases is 15.5 millimeters, and the screen resolution is Full HD.

As many connectors as on the best laptop

So thin, so light, but for a computer designed to work, Fujitsu did not want it to be short of connections. We found two USB 3.0 ports, a reversible USB-C port, an SD card slot, HDMI output, and even a Gigabit Ethernet port. To complete the play we have a fingerprint sensor.

How do you get the weight down? By using a magnesium alloy to shape a laptop that can be black, or red, look more striking in the design. They tell us that there are holes in areas to lighten.

Inside is space for an Intel Core i5 processor from the new Kaby Lake family, a 7200U running at 2.5GHz. The integrated graphics it carries is an Intel HD 620 GPU. It is interesting to know that it has a fast charging system that allows to put 50% of the computer’s energies with only half an hour.

Do you like it? Well we forget it since it is a product designed for the Japanese market, at least initially. Its price there is quite high – 1500 dollars – but just for the one who values a team as light as capable.

Recently LG introduced its Gram notebooks, which in different sizes are an example of balance between capabilities and lightness. The equivalent of this Fujitsu, with the same amount of battery, weighs 940 grams.
