Do you remember VAIO P? Yes, that tiny computer that could run the Windows version corresponding to the time, because Sony has not moved tab again in that matter, and few devices have seen in all this time have taken the witness. I remind you that these gadgets came under the name UMPC, or Ultra Mobile PC.

Many may argue that Windows does not make much sense in an “ultra-portable” gadget, but GPD has set to work to show us that it is not. First defended the idea with Win, a kind of portable console, and now comes the turn to Pocket : a little bigger and more wanting to be a laptop, but very small.

The size is conditioned by its 7-inch touch screen with Full HD resolution – IPS panel – which is practically the space that Pocket occupies, multiplied by two: one part for the screen itself, another for the keyboard area.

Since GPD decided to spend a bit of Android and devote to these gadgets with Windows, went to use Intel hardware, the one we found of this Pocket is an Atom x7-Z7800.

The processor is accompanied by 4GB of RAM and 128GB for storage. If you are wondering how it cools, there’s a fan in there.

We have mentioned several times the Microsoft operating system, but GPD also contemplates that Ubuntu 16.04 is an option. Regardless of the system, we have to know that this miniature weighs only 500 grams, thanks to the use of magnesium alloy.

Pocket has a 7000 mAh battery that gives for 12 hours of autonomy. Reviewing ports is interesting to see that there is a reversible USB-C and microHDMI output, if we want to see things on the big screen.

How much does GPD Pocket cost? If we look at the latest products of the company, they are usually at a lower price than the one they mark in their official proposal, and in this case, the thing starts in an Indiegogo campaign, so we cannot be very accurate with this. The campaign starts today at a price of $400.
